These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Folio client portal at folio.dj-dlaw.com (the “Portal”), operated by Docena Jularbal Law (“DJ-D Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Portal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal.
1. Who may use the Portal
The Portal is provided for clients of DJ-D Law and for authorized firm personnel. Access is granted by invitation and controlled by the firm. You must be authorized to access the Portal and must use credentials issued to or associated with you. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
2. Account and sign-in
The Portal uses passwordless sign-in (a one-time email link) and Google sign-in. You agree to provide accurate account information, to keep access to your email and Google account secure, and to notify us promptly at admin@docenajularbal.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. We may suspend or revoke access at any time to protect the security or integrity of the Portal.
3. No attorney-client relationship created by the Portal alone
Use of the Portal does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship arises only through a separate written engagement with the firm. Information you submit through the Portal before an engagement is in place is not treated as creating such a relationship, and you should not send time-sensitive or highly confidential information until your engagement is confirmed.
4. Not legal advice; AI-generated content
Content available through the Portal — including documents, compliance checks, legal-database materials, summaries, and answers, whether AI-generated or otherwise — is provided for general information and convenience. It is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer regarding your specific situation. AI-assisted features are clearly labeled, may contain errors, and do not represent the firm’s professional legal opinion unless reviewed and confirmed by a lawyer of the firm in the context of an engagement.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Portal for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Portal, other accounts, or its underlying systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the Portal’s security or operation, including introducing malware or attempting to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities;
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Portal’s content or materials except as permitted under your engagement; or
- upload content that infringes the rights of others or that is unlawful.
6. Intellectual property
The Portal, its features, design, and the firm’s proprietary materials and legal-database content are owned by DJ-D Law or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Portal for its intended purpose during the term of your access. Documents prepared for you as part of your engagement are governed by that engagement.
7. Confidentiality
We handle information you submit in accordance with our professional obligations and our Privacy Policy. You agree to keep confidential any non-public materials made available to you through the Portal that belong to the firm or other parties.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Portal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Portal at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind regarding the Portal and its content, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Portal. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law or affects the firm’s professional responsibilities to its clients under their engagements.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Portal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the proper courts of Muntinlupa City, without prejudice to any dispute-resolution provisions in your engagement.
